The solutions to change the fact of a Loser Like Me..

I sat in front of my laptop for hours already! And there are still no clues of what to right for today's story. Music? Vacation? Ghost? I just can't get myself to write these things. Want to know why? Take a look in the blog. These stories are everywhere. Well, they've written amazingly well, but I don't think I'll be writing about these anymore. I think I'll be writing something different. And it begins now..

A fresh day begins with a beautiful sun rise outshining the window. I wake up really and extremely early today at 9 am. Do you think it's early too? Well, it's okay not to answer because It's very obvious that you're thinking like me too^^.
Let's get back to the real things. I will be participating on the spelling bee contest of the school this afternoon, and maybe it's the reason I've woken up early today to practice.
I walk up to the living room and pick up the book from the shelf. My brother, who is sleep-walking from his bedroom, opens his eyes and makes a yawn. What a lazy brother I have!
'What're you doing in this early morning?' See! Even my brother agrees it is early ^^
'I'm practicing for this afternoon contest' He nods his head and walk to the bathroom. You might wonder where my parents are. And perhaps your questions might have an answer now. Our parents don't have much time for us. They left from the dawn till the dusk. We didn't even get to talk with them an hour a day. But I've never complained, I think the hard work they've done was only for our bright future. Well, every parents did this, aren't they?
I sit on the sofa with the book in my hand, practicing the words. I have to try my best on this contest! I really want them to be happy. They've done so much for the two of us, and I think it's the best time to make them feel good in return.
But my eyes just didn't follow my brain! Hmm... really tired.... can't hold it... I close my eyes and rest with the book changing its preposition to my face! Nevermind....

I've win!!! I've win the contest.. yay!!! Prooooooof!! Ouch!! It hurts! I open my eyes and realize that it's just a dream. What a waste! I pick up the book and have a glance at the clock.
W-W-What!!!!!!!! It's almost time!! What am I to do! What am I to do! My mind just goes blank, but my feet bring me here, in front of the school. Whoosh! 5 minutes to go! I run to the hall, and see many contestants are getting ready, except me! I quickly rush to them and get a number.

The contest starts and many students are watching from the seats below. Well, the contestants are standing on the stage with each Mic in their hands. The contest are progressing until now which there's only the three of us, me, William , and Jessie. The judges have us to spell 'antidisestablishmentarianism' ... It's really lucky for me that I've seen this in a book before. I and Jessie spell correctly and William doesn't, so he is eliminated. Only two left... Either me or her wins....Am I going to survive this?
'deindustrialization' I guess this is shorter than before, much simple than before, but it's pronunciation is very hard to guess how it spells. I really have a hard time right now, they repeated once more, but i really can't catch up to it. I close my eyes and ask myself, is it deindustrilization or deindustrialization. But at the end, the decision is still mine. I've never known this word before so I just answer what I think it would be right.
'deindustrilization' I answer... The judge give a NO to me!! It's wrong!!! If Jessie spells it right, She will win this contest. Well, I don't mean that I wish for her to spell wrong.. But I hope I will have one more chance..
'deindustrialization' ... She gets the right one..Chances are only for the work-hard person..And I think I might have not worked hard enough..I haven't cried..because I think it's a fair lose..Even if I get another chance, but I think Jessie would still win, She really tries hard. I've also seen her reading the book all day long. She really deserves the gold medal. .. The contest ends, and I get a silver medal. I walk to Jessie and congratulate her from the bottom of my heart... really. My brother who comes in a while ago smiles at me. He pats my head and cheers me up.
Every stories have its own happy ending, and I guess I should be feeling happy too, right?! My Dad has always taught me that ' A Loser will always be a loser, but it will only change the fact if they stands up and try again' And today, I know the meanings of it. I have to stand up again, and face the problems, and these are only the solutions to change the fact... I'll try harder next year!! I'll definitely have the chance to win the gold medal.
...... 'Where there is a will, there will be a way' .... Don't you think? =]

P.S I know the last writing is much better than this, but the intention of me to write this story is not much.. It is only that I want everyone to know that there will be no problems that can't be solve in the world.. It's only that you don't try.. So if any of you face a kind of problem like this.. Get up and Face it..!! I know you'll get the best of all!!!
Sincerely,
Nina

  3. Nina,
This is excellent story-telling! I love how you start out with you trying to decide what to write about.. and what not to write about. Then you start another story... of the spelling bee. You created a lot of suspense. But most of all, you show insight in your writing. You really think about things - and make me think too. Your writing has personality. Thanks for sharing, and keep writing!
