People of all races usually celebrate their own new year yesterday.The set time of celebrating their new year in accordance with their culture beliefs,customs and traditions.Chinese all over the world held their new year since long ago.The festival takes place somewhere between the third of January and the second of week of February.It's not possible to fix date because it base on Chinese lunar calendar.
Usually preparations for the celebration of the new year is made months ahead cakes of various kinds are made,the house are cleared painted or white washed.A kind of red paper bearing the world ''prosperity and happiness'' are written and hung on the walls.The Chinese regard the red color as auspicious and much importance is attached to the fact.On new year day,the members of the family get up early and pray to gods for the prosperity and happiness of the family.The festival last 15 days,people give and get presents from each other dress in fine clothes,and visit their relation.
